Job summary

Alterman is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Industrial team, supporting water and wastewater construction projects throughout New Mexico and the El Paso regional area.

The APM will assist the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and safety programs while maintaining documentation and communications. Requires related education or apprenticeship and strong software skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet the minimum requirements of one of the following pathways: Inside Wireman Apprenticeship Completion or similar/equivalent, 2 years’ experience in a field supervisory position; OR
• Associate degree in Business Management, Construction Management or Construction Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with project planning and coordination.
• Review plans and specifications and prepare RFIs as needed.
• Assist with schedule preparation and submittals; monitor progress.
• Participate in project close out procedures and document update.
