Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Architect – Industrial Buildings in California to develop elevations, sections, 3D renderings, and architectural details for industrial projects including warehouses and manufacturing facilities.

You will lead design development, coordinate with internal teams and consultants, ensure code compliance, and contribute to cost estimating and constructability reviews. A CA license and 8+ years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Architecture or licensure criteria.
Registered Architect in CA with licensure in California.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural practice with project leadership.

Responsibilities

Assists in the planning, organization, and directing of the work throughout the life cycle of the project.
Develops design through sketches, models, diagrams and massing studies.
Utilizes BIM technologies to develop 3D models of buildings and components.
Participates in design critiques and pin-ups.
Interprets building codes and regulatory requirements.
Prepares and revises documentation across architectural phases (plans, elevations, sections).
Participates in bidding, addenda, and contract administration tasks.
Leads project coordination and meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Supports client meetings, value analysis and basic cost estimating.
Coordinates specifications with construction documents.
