Job summary

Nesco Resource, LLC is partnering with an engineering and manufacturing client in Rochester, NY to hire an experienced Process & Mechanical Designer. This role leads modular, skid-based systems from concept through detailing, release, and fabrication.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial design, proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and SolidWorks, and a BS/AS in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Occasional travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of process/mechanical design in industrial setting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and SolidWorks.
• AS/BS or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field.
• Strong cross-team communication and design analysis.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial process systems, piping layouts, GA drawings, and equipment layouts.
• Perform system simulation, component analysis, and technical validation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, structural, electrical, controls, and fabrication teams.
• Participate in client design reviews, estimating support, and continuous process improvement.
