Job summary

Municipality of Anchorage seeks an Industrial Pretreatment Coordinator to manage the EPA Industrial Pretreatment Program for the Asplund WPCF. You will supervise inspectors, plan and budget activities, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements while coordinating with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes report writing, enforcement actions, and development of source control programs using various software tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 9 years of experience in the role's responsibilities, including 2 years in a supervisory or lead position.
• Associate’s degree with 7 years of experience including 2 years in supervision or lead role.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience including 2 years in supervision or lead role.

Responsibilities

• Manage the EPA Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP) for the facility.
• Supervise, plan, coordinate, budget, and oversee inspectors.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal pretreatment regulations.

Education

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Economics, Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Communications, Environmental Health, Safety Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, electrical/automation technology or related discipline
