Job summary

Eagle Mountain City seeks a Pretreatment Coordinator to administer and enforce the Industrial Pretreatment Program, ensuring compliance with the Clean Water Act, 40 CFR Part 403, and local sewer ordinances, and overseeing CIUs, IUs, SIUs, and FOG controls.

You will maintain records, develop local limits, inspect facilities, draft permits, and prepare regulatory reports, coordinating with the Wastewater Manager on planning and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, engineering, biology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial pretreatment, wastewater compliance, or environmental regulation.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: regulatory interpretation, report writing, enforcement documentation, data management, public communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer, and maintain the Industrial Pretreatment Program per Clean Water Act, 40 CFR Part 403, state and local requirements.
• Identify, classify, and permit industrial users including SIUs, CIUs, and restaurants requiring FOG control.
• Draft, issue, and renew discharge permits; establish monitoring and inspection schedules.
• Maintain accurate documentation of wastewater operations, regulatory records, and reporting.
• Coordinate enforcement actions, investigations of illicit discharges, and emergency response as needed.
