Job summary

Western States Equipment Co is seeking a trained Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair industrial engines and generators in a fast-paced shop setting. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical systems, and work with service manuals and warranty documentation.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of diagnosis and repair experience, an associate degree in diesel technology, and a valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED; associates degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of diagnosis and repair experience in industrial engines/generators.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain DOT Medical Card.
• Appropriate technician level tooling is required.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial engines and generators per specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspect electrical systems and harnesses.
• Utilize service manuals and parts books; document work orders and warranty details.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to continued development plan.
