Job summary

Western States Equipment Company seeks a skilled diesel technician to diagnose and repair engines and powertrain systems. You’ll troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and cab systems, perform preventive maintenance, and document service activities.

Strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential. Candidates should have a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and preferably an associates in diesel technology, with applicable field experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree in diesel technology preferred.
• Minimum of three years in a Caterpillar or similar environment with hydraulic, engine and powertrain experience.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engines and powertrain systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and cab systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service tasks.
• Complete service reports for files and warranty purposes.
