Job summary

Western States Equipment Company is seeking a field service technician to perform routine maintenance on generator and power system components, including diesel and gas engines. You will assist senior technicians with load bank testing, conduct basic troubleshooting, and prepare detailed service reports.

The role requires travel, overtime with little notice, and the ability to work on safety-sensitive projects. Associate degree or equivalent experience is preferred; DOT requirements must be met.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree from a vocational school preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years troubleshooting and maintenance experience with Power Systems.
• Must own required tools and meet DOT requirements.
• English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform routine maintenance on generator and power system components.
• Assist senior technicians with load bank testing and cabling tasks.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs on Power Systems products.
• Prepare accurate service reports, work orders, parts lists, and time cards.
• Adhere to safety policies and customer requirements on job sites.
