Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to support plant assets in Alabama. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on furnaces, presses, hydraulic systems, engines, motors, pumps, and conveyors, following engineering specs and safety procedures.

The role requires PLC expertise (Allen-Bradley/Siemens S7), reading control logic, and ability to work rotating shifts with overtime.

Qualifikationen

• Must have strong experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens S7 PLCs.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand control logic, flow diagrams, instrument loops and control circuits.
• Requires the ability to pass a background check and physical including drug and alcohol screen.
• Must meet company fall protection requirements.
• Able to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed (weekends/holidays).

• Safely performs assigned tasks competently and efficiently, maintaining a safe/clean work environment.
• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies to achieve results.
• Performs tasks for planning/execution of shutdowns/outages.
• Maintains up-to-date spare parts and drawings.
• Communicates with maintenance and production to enhance equipment reliability.
• Locates problems by observing devices, using measuring tools; replaces defective parts as needed.
• Controls downtime by informing teams of preventative maintenance techniques.
• Inspects parts with calipers/micrometers; adjusts components accordingly.
• Fabricates repair parts using machine shop equipment.
• Works independently to complete preventative/condition-based maintenance.
• Demonstrates proficiency in two or more technical skills (e.g., welding, machining, PLC troubleshooting).
• Supports plant with overtime and rotates shifts as required.
