Job summary
Carpenter Technology Corporation in Alabama seeks a Combustion Technician to support electrical, instrumentation and combustion systems for industrial furnaces. Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; AS in Electrical or Manufacturing Controls preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years electrical/instrumentation experience in an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and control logic is a plus.
- Ability to read control diagrams and P&IDs; basic welding skills helpful.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems on industrial furnaces.
- Conduct furnace temperature surveys and system accuracy tests.
- Calibrate thermocouples and maintain calibration stands.
- Support safety, quality, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
