Job summary

Talnt is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Birmingham, Alabama manufacturing facility. The role covers electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance, with PLC troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.

Shifts vary including day and overnight; candidates must read schematics, work from manuals, and follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures. Experience in industrial environments and knowledge of Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs preferred.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical diploma in Industrial Maintenance or related field.
Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC platforms.
Experience with variable frequency drives and industrial controls.
Experience CMMS.
Metals, machining, or heavy manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
Perform electrical troubleshooting on motors, control circuits, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, and related systems.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and identify faults in inputs/outputs/sensors/controls/machine sequences.
Complete preventive and predictive maintenance per schedules and requirements.
Respond to breakdowns with safe, timely repairs.
