Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation in Alabama is seeking a Combustion Technician to provide electrical, instrumentation, and combustion system support for maintenance and production of industrial furnaces. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and survey furnace performance, focusing on safety and cost‑effective operation.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, an AS in Electrical or Manufacturing Controls, and at least 2 years of related experience; familiarity with Allen‑Bradley and/or Siemens

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• AS degree in Electrical, Manufacturing Controls or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years relevant electrical/instrumentation experience in industrial manufacturing
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs is a plus
• Ability to read control logic, flow diagrams, instrument loops, and P&IDs

Responsibilities

• General profile: maintain safety and quality in furnace operations.
