Job Description

The Kelly Group is seeking an Industrial Plant Maintenance Worker for its Decatur, Illinois location and surrounding area. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of plant maintenance experience in a grain handling and/or processing environment.

This position requires the ability to perform these essential duties:

1. Perform equipment maintenance on various types of mechanical equipment, including belt conveyors, bucket elevators, drag chains, grain cleaners, screw conveyors, etc.
2. Show familiarity with different types of bearings, setting tolerances, and taper locks
3. Perform rigging and hoisting to properly move materials via cranes and/or hand signaling to an operator
4. Complete work using safe work practices
5. Dismantle and install machines, structures, and equipment using appropriate tools

Additional desired qualifications include:

1. Capable of performing welding (SMAW) work and using a torch
2. Ability to fabricate iron
3. Plant and preventive maintenance experience
4. Industrial construction experience
5. Ability to align shafts utilizing a laser alignment tool
6. Ability to perform belt splicing and maintenance for conveyors and bucket elevators
