Field Service Technician

Position Overview: Provide support and maintenance for our customers in North America as a Field Service Engineer. Perform retrofit and commissioning of automated material handling systems at customer warehouses. Responsibilities include maintaining advanced equipment such as pallet stacker cranes, conveyors, and robotics systems through preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, warranty service, emergency and on-call support, remote assistance, and operator training.

Note: While this position is remote, the ideal candidate will reside near a major airport: Atlanta, GA; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Nashville, TN; or Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, repair, and upgrade installed systems.
• Identify system faults and implement necessary corrections.
• Troubleshoot systems down to component level.
• Conduct training, maintenance, safety audits, and system repairs.
• Address problems proactively to ensure systems return to operational status quickly.
• Complete administrative tasks such as daily service reports, expense reports, and time entries promptly after service.

Application Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a technical service environment with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and electrical/mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to identify problems and provide proactive, effective solutions.
• High motivation and a strong work ethic.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced, demanding environments with flexibility and adaptability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy in MS Office products.
• Ability to work independently.

Desirable Qualifications

• Vocational training, military experience, or equivalent job experience.
• 5+ years of experience in technical service, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Understanding of warehouse management software.
• Experience with warehouse or factory automation systems.
• Experience with SAP or Salesforce is a plus.
