Field Service Technician

Position Overview: Provide support and maintenance as a Field Service Engineer to our customers based in North America. Perform retrofit and commissioning of automated material handling systems at customer warehouses. Responsibilities include maintaining advanced material handling equipment such as pallet stacker cranes, conveyors, and robotics systems through preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, warranty service, emergency service, on-call support, remote support, and operator training.

While this position is remote, the ideal candidate will reside near a major airport: Atlanta, GA; Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Nashville, TN; or Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, repair, and upgrade installed systems.
• Identify system faults and implement necessary corrections.
• Troubleshoot systems down to component level.
• Conduct training, maintenance/safety audits, and system repairs.
• Address problems and provide proactive solutions to restore systems to operational status.
• Complete administrative tasks such as daily service reports, expense reports, and time entries promptly after service.

Application Requirements

What you need to succeed:

• 1-3 years of experience in a technical service environment with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.
• High motivation and a strong work ethic.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with flexibility and adaptability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy in MS Office products.
• Ability to work independently.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Vocational school, military experience, or equivalent job experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical service environment with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Understanding of warehouse management software.
• Experience with warehouse or factory automation systems.
• Experience with SAP or Salesforce is a plus.
