Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in East Chicago, IN to maintain plant equipment, diagnose issues, and complete daily/weekly reports. The role requires adapting to overtime and maintaining safety standards across production systems.

The position targets candidates with at least two years in mechanical repair within heavy industry and a high school diploma or equivalent, with proficiency in hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry.
• Experience with plant maintenance and mechanical systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment following manufacturer intervals and company procedures.
• Inspect equipment condition and operation; report repairs to Supervisor.
• Perform emergency repairs to address plant breakdowns.
• Follow safety, environmental, and company policies; complete required paperwork on time.
• Walk the plant to inspect equipment and identify needed repairs or replacements.
• Maintain crushers, conveyor belts, pulleys, pumps, screens and screen bearings.
• Before diagnosing or repairing, conduct a job safety analysis to identify hazards.
