Job summary

Strobel-Energy-Group-LLC is seeking an Industrial Pipefitter to assemble, lay out, tack, and maintain piping systems. The role involves reading blueprints, selecting pipe materials, cutting, welding preparation, and coordinating with journeymen across trades.

You will perform leak tests, install supports, and ensure safety and cleanliness on site. Must provide own tools and be able to work 20–30 feet above ground.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience with pipe fitting processes.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance experience.
• Ability to read prints and construction drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work: locations, quantities, and material specs.
• Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to specifications.
• Cut, thread, bend and assemble pipes.
• Prepare, cut, fabricate, layout, fit, position, and assemble piping components.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Install hangers, supports, valves and components according to piping system plans and specifications.
• Perform leak tests to ensure quality of piping systems.
• Identify and use tools required for tasks (grinders, drills, beveling machine, etc.).
• Cut, thread, or hammer pipes to specifications using appropriate tools.
• Read blueprints and ISO metric drawings.
• Collaborate with journeymen of many trades to complete tasks.
• Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment.
