Job summary

Strobel-Energy-Group-LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Pipefitter to assemble, layout, tack and maintain piping systems on industrial sites. The role requires reading blueprints, following specifications, and collaborating with journeymen to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

You will use hand tools and welding-related equipment, work at heights, and maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to OSHA guidelines. A 2+ year experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with pipe fitting processes.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance experience.
• Ability to read prints and construction drawings.
• Must understand how to read and interpret technical manuals to determine work procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and manufacturers manuals and instructions.
• Ability to take detailed instruction.
• Positive “can do” attitude, strong work ethic and a team player.
• Good problem-solving abilities, communication skills, aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Must be able to read & understand weld symbols, weld procedures, mechanical and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe work practices.
• Ability to use Oxy/fuel & Plasma hand cutting torch.
• Daily housekeeping of shop and/or work area.
• Must be able to work 20-30 feet above ground.
• Must be able to provide own general hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work, locations, quantities, and material specs.
• Selects type and size of pipe and related materials according to specifications.
• Cuts, threads, bends and assembles pipes.
• Prepare, cut, fabricate, layout, fit, position, and assemble piping components.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Install hangers, supports, valves and components according to piping plans.
• Perform leak tests to ensure quality of piping systems.
• Identify and use tools required for tasks (grinders, drills, beveling machine, etc.).
• Cut, thread, or hammer pipes using saws, cutting torches, and pipe-related tools.
• Read blueprints and ISO metric drawings.
• Collaborate with journeymen of many trades to complete tasks.
• Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment.
