Job summary

Diversified Construction & Design seeks an experienced Industrial Pipefitter to assemble, layout, install and maintain process piping systems on steam, fluid or gas systems at industrial sites, including boilers and tanks. Read blueprints and specs to determine scope, quantities and materials required.

You will work at heights and outdoors, in confined spaces, following safety rules. Pass company qualification tests and collaborate with team to complete tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years working as an Industrial Pipefitter.
• Ability to read prints and construction drawings.
• Demonstrate knowledge on pipe fitting processes for industrial piping, boiler components, tanks, and pressure vessels.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, locations, quantities and sizes of materials required.
• Identify tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and precautions to eliminate those risks.
• Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications.
• Install valves, hangars, supports, flanges inside piping system according to plans and specs.
• Perform work on boilers, exchangers, towers and vessels of various sizes.
• Perform tests to ensure quality of pipe and piping systems.
• Hoist loads using rigging equipment.
