Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking an Industrial Pipe Fitter to assemble, lay out, install and maintain piping systems on steam, fluid or gas systems across industrial facilities. The role involves handling pipe, flanges, supports, valves, gauges, hangars, and more in construction, outdoor, and indoor settings, including heights up to 300 ft.

The candidate should have substantial pipe fitting experience, ability to read prints, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Industrial construction/maintenance history experience.
• Ability to read prints and construction drawings.
• Strong reading comprehension and communication skills.
• Experience with pipe fitting processes for industrial piping and boiler components.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work, locations, quantities, sizes of materials.
• Identify tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and preventive measures.
• Prepare, fabricate, install and fit pipe to specifications.
• Install valves, hangars, supports, flanges inside piping system per plans and specs.
• Perform tests to ensure piping quality.
• Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and rigging equipment.
