Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Technical Parts Specialist to support customers and internal teams with parts sales, order management, and technical support in Wooster, OH. The role involves processing orders, researching technical information, preparing quotes, and expediting shipments, with a focus on accurate, timely service.

The position is contract-to-hire, fully onsite, and requires strong mechanical aptitude and experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Experience processing parts orders, quotes, and customer inquiries.
• Ability to interpret parts manuals, BOMs and operator manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment.
• Experience using ERP/order processing systems for entry, tracking and inventory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for customer service.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email about parts availability, pricing, and product information.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Research technical information and collaborate with internal departments to resolve requests.
• Interpret manuals, BOMs, and other technical resources.
• Track and expedite customer orders for timely fulfillment.
• Generate quotes and provide pricing/availability information.
• Assist customers with returns, exchanges, and substitutions.
• Monitor open orders and communicate updates to customers.
• Review special-order holds and exceptions.
• Support branch inventory management and stock level maintenance.
• Identify opportunities to increase parts sales through recommendations and programs.
• Assist with reporting and performance analysis related to parts delivery and customer service metrics.
