Job summary

FCX Performance, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, is hiring an Outside Sales Representative for the Chicago-Western suburbs, IL territory. You will expand the account base by selling valves, instrumentation, and flow-control solutions to engineers and maintenance teams.

You will need proven outside industrial sales experience, strong relationship skills, and a consultative approach to win new business and grow existing accounts.

Qualifications

• Outside industrial sales experience within the industrial marketplace.
• Knowledgeable with valves, instrumentation; process flow control products is a bonus!
• Ability to establish rapport and build solid relationships at all levels of customer organizations.
• Proven experience in developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory.
• Mechanical aptitude; computer skills; Profit 21 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grow territory (and earnings) by bringing in new business and developing repeat business relationships.
• Call on engineers, maintenance and others to determine needs through a consultative approach.
• Establish rapport and build solid relationships at all levels of customer organizations.
• Drive sales and manage a defined sales territory with accountability for results.
