Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Company is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in Columbus, GA. You will build relationships with customers, develop business plans, and drive sales and gross margin in your territory.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related experience, with travel up to 25%. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Word/Excel/Outlook are essential. Competitive benefits and a supportive team await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution; 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous knowledge of wholesale electrical distribution industry and previous sales experience.
• Valid Driver's License with the ability to travel up to 25% of the time with overnight stays.
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and product knowledge.
• Must have interpersonal and organizational skills, be a self-starter, be detail oriented, and have the ability to communicate (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Complete a business plan for assigned accounts in Crescent’s CRM tool.
• Develop a sustainable sales/profit volume in assigned territory.
• Regularly make in-person sales calls to prospective and current customers.
• Present and demonstrate new products; assist with pricing bills of materials.
• Cultivate and maintain solid, long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Communicate feedback and market conditions to management.
