Job summary

OBAN Corporation is seeking an Industrial and Organizational Psychologist to help modernize career progression processes for missions with federal government clients. This remote role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a top-secret clearance and US citizenship.

Responsibilities include needs assessments, data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and developing implementation roadmaps and tools to improve organizational effectiveness. A Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or master’s in industrial/organizational psychology.
• 5+ years conducting job analyses and workforce studies.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain top-secret clearance.
• Proficiency in study design, data collection, statistics.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret data to inform HR policies.
• Experience with SPSS, R, or SAS.
• Ability to work with all staff levels.
• Additional certifications in assessment tools are a plus.

Overview:

OBAN is currently searching for an Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychologist to provide recommendations to modernize career progression processes, enabling greater flexibility for job incumbents and allowing leadership to reassign personnel as needed to meet mission requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct needs assessment to review existing career progression materials and practices.
• Analyze current career progression frameworks, processes, etc.
• Obtain stakeholder insights through focus groups, interviews, or surveys.
• Analyze data using statistical methods to evaluate and improve organizational effectiveness.
• Conduct benchmarking and identification of best practices.
• Recommend and develop career progression models based on needs assessment.
• Develop implementation strategies, roadmaps and tools.
• Create reports and briefings to present to leadership.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or master’s in industrial/organizational psychology from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years conducting job analysis, assessments, and workforce studies.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a top-secret security clearance and be a U.S. Citizen.
• Proficiency in designing studies, collecting data, and applying statistical analysis to understand workforce issues and develop solutions.
• Strong abilities in both written and verbal communication to effectively convey findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.
• The ability to interpret complex data and use it to make informed decisions about HR policies, employee training, and organizational development.
• Familiarity with statistical software (like SPSS, R, or SAS) and computer applications used in data analysis and report generation.
• Ability to work and communicate with different levels of staff and management.
• Additional licensures, certifications, or training in specific assessment tools, statistical software, or methodologies relevant to industrial and organizational psychology is a plus.
