Job summary
Actalent is hiring a Network Engineer to design, implement, and commission industrial network and server infrastructure for manufacturing environments. You will work independently with supervision, applying practical knowledge of industrial networks, virtualization, and OT/IT convergence to support projects.
You will collaborate with client stakeholders, design networks, install switches/routers/ firewalls, and configure Windows and Linux servers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in network engineering, infrastructure, or industrial IT.
- CCNA/CCNP experience or certifications are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy industrial network architectures for manufacturing environments.
- Implement network segmentation and VLAN designs for plant-floor and OT/IT environments.
- Configure switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems for industrial networks.
- Build and manage Windows and Linux servers and virtualization hosts.
- Deploy storage and backup solutions to support infrastructure resilience.
- Collaborate with IT, OT, SCADA/MES, and cybersecurity teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support onsite commissioning and customer-facing activities.
