Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER-OT to lead design, deployment, and sustainment of secure OT networks across manufacturing environments. This hands-on leadership role bridges OT and IT to enable automation and digital transformation at production sites.

The role emphasizes network security, collaboration with Process/Automation, IT, and InfoSec, and hands-on implementation of OT wired/wireless infrastructure with attention to uptime and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in CS, Engineering, IT or equivalent.
• 5+ years in network engineering.
• Experience in cross-functional teams across Operations, IT and Security.
• Strong Cisco networking background.
• Strong OT security experience: segmentation, firewalls, secure remote access.
• Wireless deployment and troubleshooting in industrial environments.
• Experience with CMDB, change control, and network monitoring tools.
• Excellent communication and documentation across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Bridge IT and OT with high-impact technical leadership.
• Build secure, resilient industrial networks meeting standards and cybersecure design.
• Impact uptime, safety, and connectivity across plants.
• Collaborate with Process/Automation, IT and InfoSec to architect networking solutions.
• Design, configure, and deploy OT wired/wireless network infrastructure.
• Maintain and optimize industrial network performance, uptime, and security.
• Lead Tier 3 troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of OT network incidents.
• Contribute to network architecture decisions, standards, and blueprints.
• Partner with engineering to integrate ICS, SCADA, IIoT, and smart devices.
• Implement and manage network segmentation/zoning per Purdue Model.
• Align OT security with ISA/IEC 62443, NIST policies.
• Manage and patch OT networking hardware (Cisco IE switches, firewalls, routers).
• Utilize Cisco DNA Center, Industrial Network Director, Cyber Vision for monitoring/automation.
• Support upgrades, migrations, and vendor coordination across plants.
• Document topologies, configs, and procedures.
• Enable digital factory initiatives by securing edge connectivity.
