Job summary

American Crystal Sugar Company seeks a House Mechanic (Millwright) to perform maintenance across the plant, including installation, refurbishment and optimization of equipment. You will align, balance and troubleshoot while collaborating with Production to ensure effective interventions.

The role requires completing a millwright apprenticeship or a 2-year technical degree, plus several years of industrial millwright experience. Safety screenings are mandatory.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or completed state-approved millwright apprenticeship with 2 years of industrial millwright experience
• Minimum of 5 years of full-time industrial millwright experience or equivalent
• Candidates will be tested in millwright, welding and basic skills and must pass a Safety Screen

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, replacements, alignment, balancing, installation and refurbishment
• Understand operating principles and role of equipment in the process/factory
• Work with Production to ensure maintenance interventions are appropriate and effective
• Perform joining and fabrication including SMAW and GMAW welding of carbon and stainless steels
