Job summary

American Crystal Sugar Company is seeking a House Mechanic (millwright) to perform a broad range of maintenance tasks across the plant. Responsibilities include inspection, replacements, alignment, installation, refurbishment, and tailored troubleshooting to optimize equipment performance.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree or millwright apprenticeship, or 5+ years of experience with HS diploma. Welding and basic skills testing plus a safety screen are required.

Qualifications

• Requires 2-year technical degree or completed millwright apprenticeship (or 5+ years of millwright experience if HS diploma).
• Candidates must pass millwright, welding and basic skills testing.
• Mandatory Safety Screen to evaluate ability to safely perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform parts replacement, alignment, balancing, installation and refurbishment of equipment.
• Perform joining and fabrication work including welding carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Understand operating principles of equipment and how maintenance impacts process performance.
