Job description

Position Overview

Entry Level $33.78 with possible progression to $38.31. 12 hour rotating shifts. Day One Benefits and PTO include Medical, Vision, Free Dental, 401K Match plus a Pension and More.

The House Mechanic will perform a wide variety of duties and tasks associated with the mechanical (millwright) discipline. These duties include a multitude of maintenance interventions ranging from basic parts replacements to equipment refurbishment, optimization of equipment performance, and advanced troubleshooting. The principal accountabilities include inspection, parts replacements, alignment, balancing, installation, and refurbishment.

Mechanics are expected to understand equipment function and application to the extent that equipment performance can be optimized. Additionally, individuals will work closely with Production to gain a detailed understanding of operating parameters, ensuring that maintenance interventions are both appropriate and effective.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of equipment.
• Parts replacements.
• Alignment and balancing.
• Installation and refurbishment of equipment.
• Advanced troubleshooting.
• Perform joining and fabrication activities, including welding (SMAW and GMAW), brazing, and soldering of various materials such as carbon steel and stainless steel.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree (Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Design, Machinist & Toolmaker, or related) OR completion of a state-approved millwright apprenticeship (non-ACS) with a minimum of 2 years of full-time industrial millwright experience.
• Alternatively, a High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 consecutive years of full-time industrial millwright experience.
• Candidates will be required to take a millwright, welding, and basic skills testing.
• Candidates must successfully pass a Safety Screen evaluating their ability to execute duties safely.
