Job summary

Mid-West Forging and Machining in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a skilled Millwright/Industrial Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy manufacturing equipment. You will work with electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshoot PLCs, motors, conveyors, and robotics, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Applicants should have at least four years in industrial maintenance or as a millwright, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in a manufacturing setting focused on electrical maintenance or as a millwright.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety standards.
• Experience with PLCs, robotics, schematics, and lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, install, troubleshoot, repair electrical and mechanical controls on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot motors, drives, starters and IO circuits; install and adjust wiring as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and read blueprints/schematics for procedures.
• Read electrical schematics, wire and troubleshoot control systems; assist with robot programs.
• Weld, cut, fabricate, and perform basic metalworking as required; operate cutting torch safely.
• Maintain logs, cleanliness, and proper tool and part inventories; follow safety rules.
