Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience using hand and power tools including welding torches.
• Strong safety practices knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied conditions.
• Ability to read, analyze, and address complex data or situations.
• OSHA 10 certification within 60 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper operation of large industrial equipment like generators and machinery.
• Uses hand tools, hoists, jacks, and power tools to assemble, install, align, and adjust piping, valves, pumps, and equipment.
• Conducts tests to ensure machines meet specifications and makes adjustments.
• Dismantling of existing equipment as needed.
• Gathers parts for repairs or modifications based on blueprints.
• Troubleshoots and repairs machines; responds to unexpected issues.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on older machines.
• Provides recommendations on new machinery to management.
• Plans and facilitates installation of new or refurbished machinery.
• Conducts safety inspections of facilities.
• Maintains safety records and logs.
• Supports jobsite safety to comply with OSHA regulations and Safety Program.
