Job summary

Amrize is seeking a skilled Millwright for on-site work in Alpena, Michigan. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing heavy industrial equipment including conveyors, crushers, pumps, and motors.

Candidates should have strong welding, fabrication, pipefitting, and mechanical troubleshooting abilities. Requirements include 5+ years of millwright experience, safety certification, crane certification, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant millwright work experience.
• Safe working attitude and understanding of safety requirements.
• NCCCO Crane Certification (swing, lattice, tower crane).
• Stick (SMAW) and Flux-Core (FCAW) process certifications.
• Hydraulic Systems Certification or formal hydraulic training.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and installs equipment such as conveyors, feed bins, chute liners, screen media, reducers & gearboxes, bearing replacement.
• Perform motor and gearbox alignment and installation.
• Constructs structures for equipment.
• Perform repair and maintenance involving disassembly, overhaul, assembly, and adjustments of crushing components.
• Maintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical and hydraulic components on industrial machinery.
