Job summary

Heartland Co-Op is seeking an entry-level mechanical technician responsible for installing and maintaining machinery according to layout plans and drawings. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely.
• Willingness to perform routine maintenance and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machines with hand tools as needed.
• Move machinery using hoists and dollies.
• Assemble and install equipment following plans and specs.
• Construct machine foundations with basic materials.
• Align machines using measuring tools.
• Operate welding or cutting equipment as required.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks.
