Interfor Corporation in Thomaston, GA is seeking an Industrial Millwright to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy industrial equipment at our sawmill. This on-site role emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on mechanical skills to minimize downtime and keep operations efficient.

The position targets seasoned industrial maintenance professionals with strong mechanical aptitude, capable of interpreting drawings, performing fabrication tasks, and adhering to lock-out procedures.

Formación

• 2 to 4 years of millwright level experience.
• High School Diploma/Equivalent Preferred.
• Prior manufacturing/warehouse/lumber operations experience preferred.
• Ability to work in varying seasonal climate conditions.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.

Responsabilidades

• Read and understand equipment drawings and blueprints.
• Cut, weld, and perform fabrication work with different types of steel.
• Assess and repair machinery and hydraulic problems in a timely manner.
• Determine shaft sizes, measure up, and build shafts for replacement.
• Recognize and change sprockets, bearings, and chains etc.
• Adhere to an absolute lock‑out policy, ensuring that the power source is turned off, machine locked out, and tested to ensure isolation.
• Submit work requests and complete work orders.
• Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

As an Industrial Millwright in Thomaston, GA, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our sawmill operating safely and efficiently by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the equipment that powers our operation.

This role is ideal for a seasoned industrial maintenance professional with strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy industrial equipment. You’ll bring the hands‑on skills and technical knowledge needed to diagnose equipment issues, minimize downtime, and help keep our operation running reliably.

Top Pay & Incentives

• Pay Range: $29.21 – $40.74 per hour based on skill level and experience.
• $5000 Sign‑On Bonus
• $1.25 per hour Night Shift Differential
• Quarterly Gainshare Bonus (performance based)
