Job summary

Interfor is seeking an Industrial Millwright in Eatonton, GA to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at our sawmill. You will read drawings, perform preventive maintenance, and fabricate parts using various steel types while upholding strict safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of millwright experience, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment across seasonal conditions.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of millwright level experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in varying seasonal climate conditions.
• Manufacturing, sawmill, lumber, or industrial maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand equipment drawings and blueprints.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.
• Cut, weld, and perform fabrication work with different types of steel.
• Assess and repair machinery and hydraulic problems in a timely manner.
• Determine shaft sizes, measure up, and build shafts for replacement.
• Recognize and change sprockets, bearings, and chains etc.
• Adhere to an absolute lock-out policy, ensuring that the power source is turned off, machine locked out, and tested to ensure isolation.
• Submit work requests and complete work orders.

As an Industrial Millwright in Eatonton, GA, you'll play a critical role in keeping our sawmill operating safely and efficiently by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the equipment that powers our operation.
As part of our maintenance team, you'll use your mechanical, hydraulic, welding, and fabrication skills to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support production. Shift Information & Incentives

• Schedule: Full-Time Weekend Day Shift
• Pay Range: $29.21-$40.74 per hour based on skill level and experience.
• Shift Differential: $1.25 per hour
• Quarterly Gainshare Bonus (performance based)

What You’ll Do

Physical Requirements

• Walking, standing, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  
• Ability to work around moving equipment and machinery.
• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
