Job summary

Houck Group Family of Companies seeks a Superintendent – Mechanical Services to lead industrial projects in Allentown, PA. You will supervise millwrights, manage subcontractors, and drive safe, efficient installations of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities include coordinating materials, mentoring foremen, and liaising with customers to extend services while maintaining strict safety practices on heavy equipment in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Experience identifying blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Ability to develop material lists and determine equipment needed.
• Proficiency with welding processes and certifications.
• Experience with installation and repair of industrial machinery.
• Capable of working at heights and in hazardous environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite leadership for projects by overseeing installation of work and material procurement.
• Oversee, train, and mentor foreman, millwrights, and divisional projects.
• Propose capital investments to improve divisional capabilities and project efficiency.
• Assist the Project Manager with certification management (welding, equipment, etc.).
• Act as a liaison with customers in the course of project execution to sell additional services.
