Job summary

Wohlsen Construction in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to lead field activities from pre-construction through project completion. You will supervise mechanical crews, coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and other trades, and ensure installations comply with contract documents, schedules, codes, and company standards.

This role requires 7–10 years of mechanical construction experience, strong leadership and communication, and the ability to read drawings and shop drawings.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of mechanical construction field leadership experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA codes preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide field supervision and leadership for mechanical construction activities.
• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, vendors, and trades.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals.
• Monitor installations for quality, schedule, and code compliance.
• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, and structural systems.
• Develop and monitor look-ahead schedules and allocate manpower/materials.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts and coordination issues.
• Promote a safe, organized, and productive job site.
