Job summary

Amteck is seeking a General Mechanical Superintendent to lead field operations, supervise HVAC, piping, sheet metal, and startup activities, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality on mechanical construction projects. You will coordinate labor, equipment, and subcontractors, review drawings and specs, and mentor foremen across multiple job sites.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical construction teams on HVAC, piping, and sheet metal projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Strong safety leadership and site safety program knowledge.
• Proven track record of managing multiple crews and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mechanical crews performing HVAC, piping, sheet metal, and startup work.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct daily field operations to meet safety, schedule, and budget goals.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, schedules, and work scopes for accurate field execution.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and subcontractor activities across jobsites.
• Oversee mechanical installations including piping, valves, pumps, and HVAC equipment.
• Ensure LOTO procedures and site safety requirements are followed.
• Monitor progress, address schedule impacts and material shortages.
• Train and mentor foremen and field personnel to improve performance.
