Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products in Marietta, GA is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance costs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (technical cert preferred), 3+ years industrial maintenance experience, ability to read blueprints, operate cranes, and work up to 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certs preferred.
• 3+ years in industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals and assembly directions.
• Proficient in communicating complex mechanical issues.
• Physically capable of demanding work and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and replace mechanical components on equipment.
• Plan and maintain preventive maintenance for engines, motors, pumps and conveyors.
• Perform routine, emergency and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Install or assist in installing new equipment and alignments.
• Modify equipment for safety, quality, productivity improvements.
• Roll Grinder duties to support coating quality and line production.
• Communicate repair steps, parts ordered and timelines to plant personnel.
