Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products in Marietta, GA, seeks a Maintenance Team Lead to safely perform emergency and preventative repairs to plant machinery and infrastructure.

You will lead maintenance responses to production line issues, coordinate with the Production Supervisor, and ensure safe, efficient repairs while minimizing downtime.

The role requires knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, PLCs, and strong communication; eligibility for a background check is part of the process.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Trade certs or 5+ years as Industrial Mechanic/Electrician.
• PLC and basic drives experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Proficient communication skills to explain complex electrical issues.
• Able to perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and preventative repairs on plant machinery and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Coordinate with Production Supervisor during emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Maintain safe work environment and proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Manage maintenance inventory and entering work orders in the system.
• Communicate with Production and Quality Control to resolve issues.
