Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep plant equipment in a state of readiness, perform inspections, and carry out preventative maintenance. The role requires welding and fabrication work, reporting to the Area Manager, and facilitating safe, efficient operations across production lines.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in heavy industry mechanical work, knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems, and the ability to use shop equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry.
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and use of shop equipment.
• Welding experience required.
• Experience working in confined spaces.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn company software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect condition and operation of plant and mobile equipment and perform repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance.
• Complete work orders, install and fabricate materials, and ensure safety and availability of items.
• Prepare and weld steel and aluminum structures and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and report findings to Area Manager.
• Assist personnel as needed to support their activities.
• Respond to emergency situations to resolve safety concerns.
• Maintain shop, equipment, tools and vehicles for availability and safety.
