Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician L1 at our Minnesota facility. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvements in a food production environment.

Candidates should have a GED or higher, one year of maintenance experience preferred, and be able to read drawings and P&ID schematics. SAP experience is a plus, with strong communication skills and safety commitment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or two-year technical certificate preferred.
• 1 year of experience as an industrial maintenance technician preferred.
• Ability to read and decipher mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams preferred.
• Prior experience in SAP preferred.
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate with reliability and maintenance team to improve safety, quality, delivery and costs.
• Learn and execute Precision Maintenance techniques.
• Perform technical troubleshooting with maintenance personnel.
• Assist maintenance training for staff.
• Follow reliability procedures for spares and parts.
• Implement quality commissioning for rebuilt or new equipment.
• Support maintenance craftsman during assignments.
• Use CMMS to manage reliability reporting and decisions.
• Keep accurate records as required.
• Provide input for RCA and Reliability Centered Maintenance.
• Promote Michael Foods culture and safety.
• Adhere to GMPs and food safety/quality policies.
