Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking an Electronics & Instrumentation Technician to provide maintenance and reliability services in our Norwalk, IA plant.

The role focuses on electrical/instrumentation PM, PDM, RCM, and related improvement projects while collaborating with plant teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance, SAP experience, and a commitment to safety, quality, and GMP compliance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent
Associate's degree or technical certificate in related field
2 years maintenance electrician experience in manufacturing
Electrical license or E&I certification preferred
Experience with SAP preferred
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong administrative and follow-up skills

Responsibilities

Participate with maintenance team to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Learn and champion Precision Maintenance techniques.
Participate in critical electrical/instrumentation maintenance training.
Follow reliability procedures for spares and parts.
Support quality commissioning for rebuilt or new equipment.
Assist with maintenance assignments and troubleshooting.
Use MFI ARM standards in CMMS for reliability reporting.
Keep accurate records.
Contribute to RCA and Reliability Centered Maintenance.
Promote Michael Foods culture and values.
Model safe work behaviors and adhere to safety policies.
Maintain GMPs and sanitary conditions.
Ensure regulatory compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
