Job summary

Bob Evans Farms, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform mechanical and electrical repairs on production equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, wiring, PLCs, and robotics, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability across the facility.

Your duties include maintaining and repairing production equipment, reading blueprints, and supporting continuous improvement with operators and peers. OSHA rules and PPE are applied daily in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Associate degree or two-year technical certificate in Mechanics and Electronics; two years maintenance experience preferred.
Knowledge of fluid power, industrial electricity, mechanical components, PLCs, welding, robotics and rigging.
Understanding OSHA and Company safety regulations (LOTO, PPE).
Basic plumbing and HVAC knowledge.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all production equipment in assigned area under supervision.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all production equipment and supporting infrastructure including mechanical/electrical systems, PLCs, robotics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Dismantle machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts and test functionality.
Inspect completed work for conformance with local safety codes and company standards.
Document all work orders and maintain accurate parts inventories.
Collaborate with production operators to identify process improvements where possible.
