Job summary

CMC is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repairs, calibration, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment across our recycling centers and fabrication plants. You’ll interpret blueprints and schedules, troubleshoot gear and PLC systems, and work safely within our industrial environments.

With a minimum of three years in a similar role, you’ll use a variety of hand and power tools and coordinate with teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Allen Bradley, ABB, AC/DC motor and/or PLC troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and leadership.
• Able to perform maintenance safely at heights and in adverse conditions (LOTO aware).
• Must be able to stand for long periods in an industrial environment.
• Demonstrate reliability in attendance and completing work.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks including repair/replacement of parts, calibration, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns to keep equipment operating.
• Use SAP maintenance module and document actions.
• Fabricate parts with machine shop tools.
• Conserve maintenance resources and plan corrective actions.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Support safety programs and uphold safety culture.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
