Job summary

PTC Alliance in Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our mechanical equipment running in a demanding industrial environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems, and support uptime across production lines.

You will read work orders, use hand and power tools, and coordinate with a team in a loud factory setting. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus 1–3 years in manufacturing and basic PLC awareness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Maintenance or equivalent certification or continued relative education preferred.
• 1–3 years of relative experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable of interaction of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient operation of machinery and equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance (PMs) as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems including PLCs.
• Perform building maintenance as needed.
• Communicate downtime issues to production teams.
• Follow safety standards and company policies.
• Install, assemble and test new machines and equipment; understand safety regulations.
• Inspect machines for signs of malfunctions and test as appropriate.
• Monitor and respond to signs of malfunction; troubleshoot production machinery.
• Schedule and perform routine maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs on machinery (mechanical, electric, hydraulic).
• Use power and hand tools to perform duties.
• Maintain cleanliness of workspace and equipment.
