Job summary

Commercial Metals Company seeks a maintenance technician to support multiple facilities, performing preventive maintenance, repairs and calibration on diverse manufacturing equipment. You will troubleshoot PLCs, replace worn parts, and keep systems running efficiently while following SAP workflows and safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a similar role, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Allen Bradley, ABB, AC/DC motor and/or other PLC troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and leadership.
• Able to perform maintenance/repair at heights safely following LOTO procedures.
• Stand for long periods in an industrial environment with exposure to weather.
• Demonstrate dependability in attendance and flexibility to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts, adjustments and calibration of manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and keep equipment operating by following instructions.
• Use SAP maintenance module and document time and corrective actions.
• Fabricate parts using shop instruments and equipment.
• Conserve maintenance resources by efficient use of tools and materials.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics; follow safety programs and contribute to safety culture.
