Job summary

Perdue Farms in Perry, GA is seeking a versatile Multi Craft Maintenance Technician to keep our plant operations running safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems, work with PLCs, and support continuous improvement across departments.

This role requires hands-on expertise, initiative, and the ability to mentor junior technicians while maintaining records and safety protocols. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 6:00am–6:00pm, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years experience in industrial maintenance.
• Expert proficiency in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical, PLC, welding and rigging.
• Perdue Farms QEW certification.
• Commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Performs extraordinarily complex technical tasks and decision-making.
• Must demonstrate expert proficiency within 10 months of hire.
• Demonstrate strong PLC troubleshooting and interaction with PLC hardware.
• Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs complex machinery and control systems.
• Collaborates with production associates and other technicians to solve problems with reliability and urgency.
• Investigates and repairs electrical and mechanical systems and machinery; performs preventative maintenance and maintains records.
• Conducts root cause analysis on malfunctions and inefficiencies; reports safety concerns.
• Seeks ways to drive plant and maintenance cost efficiencies.
• Mentors maintenance technicians and provides hands-on training.
• Follows safety precautions and wears required protective equipment.
