Job summary

Reser's Fine Foods is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to perform preventative and urgent upkeep of production machinery and equipment. This role emphasizes prioritizing downtime to meet production needs and interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams.

You will troubleshoot electrical systems, operate PLCs, and assist with new equipment installation while collaborating across departments and with the Facilities and Maintenance Manager on special projects and routine facilities tasks.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; technical cert preferred.
• 3–5 years as a multi-craft industrial technician.
• Intermediate knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated intermediate troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment; flexible hours including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and urgent maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Prioritize downtime issues to meet production needs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Perform intermediate electrical duties (minor troubleshooting, starters, sensors, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment with timing and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Communicate with all departments, customers and other engineering and production functions; attend on-site meetings as required.
• Assist with installation of new equipment as required.
• Perform additional duties including facilities tasks and special projects as assigned by the Facilities and Maintenance Manager.
