Job summary

Fresh Express is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Technician to safely maintain, repair, replace, and modify processing, packaging, and facility equipment with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Daily responsibilities include CMMS-driven work orders, PLC and motor control troubleshooting, reading schematics, and supporting safety and process-improvement initiatives to ensure production targets and food-safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Proficient mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings and manuals.
• English language proficiency required; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate/benefit from CMMS to complete work orders and log issues.
• Communicate with production personnel and other mechanics to identify problems and share feedback.
• Perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, and circuits.
• Read schematics and manuals to establish facts and conclusions.
• Support maintenance of waste water, compressed air, refrigeration and safety systems.
• Align daily activities with productivity, yields, food safety and cost goals.
• Conduct daily inspections, emergency repairs and preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Maintain organized documentation and records.
• Assist other departments to resolve mechanical issues and maintain production efficiency.
• Support Process Improvement projects and safety teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
